Breagha's Sherbet Pips Quilt - Part 2

Backed the quilt in flannel, pink teddy bears and little birds. Used just a white binding.

Breagha's Sherbet Pips Quilt - COMPLETED

Breagha's Sherbet Pips Quilt is completed and already on it's way to Scotland.

I am almost embarrassed to admit that I finished this quilt so quickly, means I spent way too many late nights, sitting on my couch, watching movies and quilting away.

For some reason, I am having a difficult time uploading images so I am just going to put them on here and hope for the best!

Breagha's Sherbet Pips Quilt

Oh, the Sherbet Pips fabric line.  How I love this!!!!!  I discovered the pips at the end of their production and ordered what I could find on Ebay.  I managed to obtain three charm packs of this delicious fabric and I also managed to buy some bits and pieces as they appeared on Ebay.

There is no question that Breagha would be getting a quilt from this line and today, I finally finished sewing up 12 - 12" blocks of it, using two packs of my precious pips and some of the yardage.

And here are the blocks

Each block will be bordered in white fabric.  I plan on getting this top completed by the end of the day, ready for marking tomorrow.  With our frigid winter settling in for the rest of the week, the timing is perfect to stay indoors and quilt away.

First Quilt of 2012

Started off the New Year making a coin quilt.  I have looked at these on so many blogs and thought it was time to try one.

The top is made completely from fabric from Connecting Threads - design called Peppermint Forest.  I ordered quite abit of this fabric with the thoughts of making a Breagha a quilt from it.  In my order, I also had a layer cake of this fabric and that's what I used to make this coin quilt.

I like it well enough but not enough to mark and quilt it right now.  It's gone into the pile of WIP and I'll get to it when the mood strikes me, lol.  I have quite abit of this fabric in fat quarters and yardage so I foresee another quilt using this fabric.

I really do love the color combinations in this quilt.
